We are now casting for a proof-of-concept episode for Men on the Moon, a new minimalist sci-fi gay romance series developed with support from the Independent Production Fund and Canada Media Fund.

Rate: $312/day (ACTRA WIP or non-union – to be confirmed after casting)

SEEKING CANADIAN, ARABIC-SPEAKING ACTORS FOR TWO LEAD ROLES:

AMIR (Male, 18–30)

• Queer Arab man, resilient, tender, and emotionally complex

• Native Arabic fluency required (please specify dialect)

• Comfortable with intimacy (kissing, staged sex scenes), raw emotional work, and dreamlike, surreal scenes

• Must provide shirtless front/back/side profile photos (all body types welcome)

• Conversational English an asset

SALWA (Female, 50–70)

• Amir’s mother – strong, intelligent, emotionally complex

• Native Arabic fluency required (please specify dialect)

• Must be comfortable portraying intense scenes of family conflict and reconciliation

• Conversational English an asset
